A buyer emailed us last month asking why their peached sateen kept losing recovery after a few wash cycles. Answer's usually in the spandex ratio and the peaching process - get either wrong and the garment goes limp. This is our Cotton Spandex Sateen Peached Fabric, style ZCA204. 98% cotton, 2% spandex, 246GSM. Sateen weave for that soft luster, peached finish for the brushed hand-feel. ZICAI, out of HUZHOU ZICAI TEXTILE CO.,LTD, runs this for bottomweight garments and premium casualwear where stretch recovery and surface softness both need to hold up order after order.

Product Features & Applications
- The 223*100 thread density is high. That's what gives sateen its characteristic sheen - tighter weave, more light reflection off the surface yarns.
- 70D spandex content at only 2% keeps this fabric functional stretch, not compression stretch. Good for chino-style pants, casual skirts, and structured womenswear where you want a little give in the seat and knee without the garment losing its shape after a few wears - a common complaint procurement teams get from retail QC when spandex ratio runs too low or the yarn's inconsistent.
- Peached finish means a mechanical brushing process on the fabric surface. Softer hand-feel, slight fuzz, no chemical softener dependency - matters for brands running OEKO-TEX compliant lines.
- 50*21 warp/weft construction on the base yarn gives it enough body for bottomweight use, but it's still light enough for warm-season casualwear collections.

Manufacturing Capabilities & QC
Dyeing runs on the same standardized natural gas pipeline setup across our whole facility - that consistency matters even more on sateen, because the tight weave and higher yarn count show shade variance faster than a plain weave would. Bad batch matching is instantly visible on a lustrous surface. We control for that at the source.
Peaching and finishing get checked through our full instrument line before shipment: Martindale abrasion tester, shrinkage rate oven (spandex blends need close monitoring here - shrink rates aren't linear with stretch fabrics), sun exposure climate testing machine, sweat color fastness oven, and textile formaldehyde detector. All testing happens inside our constant temperature and humidity room, so the data holds up when your own lab reruns it. OEM/ODM development follows the same QC path - no separate "sample-only" standard versus bulk production.

FAQ
Q: Can this be produced in a heavier GSM for a different product line, and does that affect your MOQ?
A: Yes, we can adjust yarn density for a heavier GSM version on request through our OEM/ODM process - MOQ for a modified construction is typically higher than stock GSM runs, so confirm your target weight and order volume and we'll get you a lead time and MOQ figure specific to that spec.
Q: Does the 2% spandex content hold up after commercial laundering, or will we see recovery loss on a bulk garment order?
A: At 70D spandex within this construction, recovery stays stable through standard commercial wash cycles when garment wash temperature stays within recommended range - we can share our shrinkage and stretch-recovery test data from the shrinkage rate oven and Martindale results if your QC team needs it for approval before bulk cutting starts.
